What is the cooling off period?

When you sign up to a new energy retailer, there is a mandatory ten business day cooling off period that all retailers must observe; your site won't transfer to the new energy retailer until the cooling off period has ended. If you change your mind during this time and wish to stay with your current retailer, or if you find an offer with another retailer that better suits your needs, the cooling off period allows you to cancel your transfer at no cost.
