What Concession/Rebates could I get in NSW?

On supply Embedded Network Customers are not eligible for any concessions right now.

To check if that’s you, look for your NMI number on the second page of your bill – if it starts with "EN" you may be in an Embedded Network. You can also confirm this at the NSW Government Service website.

 

Low Income Household Rebate

  • OR 78.08c (excl GST) / 85.89c (incl GST) per day

  • Health Care Card (HCC)
  • Department of Veterans Affairs Card (DVA)
How to apply

If you have electricity with a valid concession card we will automatically apply this to your gas account.

If you only have a gas account, you can add your concession card via MyAccount

Family Energy Rebate

Who may be eligible Those eligible for the Federal Government’s Family Tax Benefit A or Family Tax Benefit B.
Rebate amount $180 (excl GST) / $198 (incl GST) per year

If you receive the Low Income Household Rebate, the Family Energy Rebate is capped at $20 (excl GST) / $22 (incl GST).

Card type NA – this concession is determined by the Family Tax Benefit Scheme.

Life Support Rebate

Who may be eligible Valid concession card holders using electrically-operated life support equipment to treat life-threatening conditions.
Rebate value This depends on the type of machine you use.

How to apply To register for the Life Support Rebate:
  1. Download and complete the Life Support Rebate Application Form (PDF 177 kB) 
  2. Ask your doctor to sign the form and confirm that you need the equipment.
  3. Send the completed form to us by:

How to apply

EAPA vouchers are distributed to electricity and gas customers by a range of community welfare organisations (CWO).
