What Concessions/Rebates could I get in SA?

Concession eligibility is verified by the Department of Human Services in South Australia.  If you believe you are eligible for a concession rebate, please contact them directly.  Once your eligibility has been assessed and approved by them they will send us the details accordingly. 

 

Energy Bill Concession

Who may be eligible People on a low or fixed income.
The South Australian Government sends us details of eligible customers.
Rebate value

$231.41 (excl GST) / $254.551 (incl GST) per year
OR 63.4c (excl GST) / 69.74c (incl GST) per day

Medical Heating and Cooling Concession

Who may be eligible People on a low or fixed income, with a medical condition that makes it difficult to regulate their temperature.
Rebate value $231.41 (excl GST) / $254.551 (incl GST) per year
OR 63.4c (excl GST) / 69.74c (incl GST) per day
Energy type Electricity
How to apply The Department of Human Services (DHS) will either apply this concession to your electricity account or pay it directly to you each quarter.

Emergency Electricity Payment Scheme (EEPS)

Who may be eligible

Households with significant financial difficulties or who:

  • Receive an energy bill concession from the Department of Human Services (DHS)
  • AND Have had their electricity disconnected (or are at risk of disconnection)
Rebate value Up to $400 (excl GST) / $440 (incl GST)
